FAQ

Beautification Department

The Beautification Department is directed by Frank Chisley, a dedicated and skilled professional charged with the responsibility of creating and maintaining our city's local green-space. The department is currently participating in the further development of the Japanese Garden located on North Broadway. Additional projects include overseeing the development of the Elkhorn Creek Park and providing Wood Duck nesting habitat for our local waterfowl. The Elkhorn Creek Park allows public access to one of Scott County's most precious resources... water. Fly fishing for stocked trout is available downstream of the North Broadway dam, where the Royal Springs overflow enters the Elkhorn Creek.

Future projects include a trout farm located on the Elkhorn Creek Park property funded by state and local government to further proliferate the once abundant fresh-water trout in the Elkhorn Creek tributaries.
